“Meet Me at the Potluck”

This design was inspired by the joy of family and friend potlucks. This repeat pattern shows glimpses of the best and most important part of potlucks…. family and love. It’s a celebration of community. I wanted everyone to be reminded and acknowledge how important having a community is. It also makes me realize that I take it for granted.

Scarf Design Repeat Pattern (by hand)

Gouache, Poster Board

process…

Making this repeat pattern, was a long process that took a lot of patience. Which, I found out, is required for all fiber art practices. I used gouache for the first time and learned how to color match by hand. I planned my colors on Procreate and the final product was hand-painted.
